This has been recurring for months now; I don’t mind it because I can kind of analyse it bit by bit since it’s happening often but I need to break it down: The environment changes all the time and consists of Blackpool, Liverpool and other places I’m not sure of like space I think (I can’t grasp it yet). There’s also places I appear in like parks, woods, big modern buildings, houses (this particular house in general has loads of rooms and is always changing - every time I’m here I’m always sleeping in different rooms or just walking around the house) I’ll sometimes appear in a building that resembles the school I went to, or end up in a big train station with loads of shops or a little one with nothing and no one there. As well as this, I’ll find myself shopping a lot for different things; I’ll end up in the toy aisle a lot and even the clothes section but only looking for really glamorous things. There’s also times where I’m travelling a lot. If I’m in a car it will be full or a bus or train where I’ll constantly change seats. There will be moments where the vehicle will dip and go down a steep hill and I genuinely feel it in my stomach, but I’ll get to Blackpool. When im dreaming, I’m normally travelling into Blackpool down a long winding hill. always be somewhere along the promenade, either at the pier which is situated in the middle of the sea and not from the promenade and it will normally have really big rides on, but the sight of it in the middle of the sea makes me sick. But recently I’ve been in the town centre especially at night, looking for a certain shop or looking for someone. Sometimes I’m running away from the police I think. I’ll bump into people but I’ll always end up at a pub where I’ll find my mum and siblings there. Sometimes other family members are there but it’s always my mum. It’s always busy and loud and sometimes it turns into a big hall with tables and a stage and we’re dressed up or looking for gowns to wear. When I dream of Liverpool, it’s mainly about the house in toxteth but it looks and feels different, it feels dark I think, but I always appear there and I’m always upset but don’t show it because I’m unhappy to be there with the people there. I’m confused because in real life we don’t speak anymore but they pop up in my dream and I can’t remember how it even happened. This sometimes mixes with my dads house so overall it’s not a nice part of the dream but I don’t consider it a nightmare. If it’s not that house then it’s school, I can’t remember much about this part. But I’ll mainly be looking for a classroom, find it and walk in to sit down somewhere. There’s always some anxiety here of where to sit but I manage it, it feels like ‘fake it till you make it’ is all I’m thinking about during this. I’ll sometimes pop up in a really modern looking town square and I think Im going to work in this big white modern building. I’m happy to be there but I’m always getting lost and looking around for different people. I’ll use lifts a lot, going up and down and sometimes I’ll meet different people in them.
Dreams often represent our subconscious thoughts, emotions, and experiences, weaving them into narratives that can be rich in symbolism and meaning. Your recurring dream offers a variety of themes and settings, which can be interpreted in several ways. Here are some key elements and potential meanings derived from your dream sequences.
Changing Environments: The shifting landscapes of Blackpool, Liverpool, and various fantastical places could symbolize transitions in your life. These changes might reflect feelings of uncertainty or a search for stability. The contrasting environments suggest a journey through complex emotions or experiences related to your past, present, or future.
The House with Many Rooms: This often symbolizes your mind or the many facets of your life. Each room may represent different aspects of your identity or emotions. The act of moving through different rooms might signify exploration of your feelings, memories, or unresolved issues. The fact that the house changes could imply that you are evolving or that your self-perception is shifting.
Travel Themes: Frequent travel and the sensations associated with vehicles suggest a journey of self-discovery or an exploration of different paths in life. The variation in the mode of transport might symbolize different approaches you are considering or the way you navigate your life circumstances. The steep hills and changes in seating can echo feelings of instability or the ups and downs in your experiences.
Shopping for Glamorous Things: This could signify a desire for fulfillment, presentation, or self-expression. The toy aisle may relate to nostalgia or a desire for playfulness. In contrast, the search for glamorous clothing might reflect aspirations or the ways you wish to be perceived by others.
Connections with Family: Your dreams about family, particularly your mother and siblings, could relate to your emotional ties and the complexities of familial relationships. The pub setting, with its noise and activity, might symbolize a desire for connection or belonging while also reflecting the challenges or conflicts that come with it.
School Dynamics: Revisiting your school days, especially the anxiety of finding a classroom and where to sit, could indicate lingering feelings from that time—perhaps related to identity, acceptance, or social anxiety. This part of your dream cycle might symbolically reflect how you engage in social situations or your current life-stage challenges.
Dark Spaces in Liverpool: The feelings of sadness and discomfort associated with the house in Toxteth might evoke unresolved feelings regarding past relationships or experiences. The emotions tied to these familiar yet uncomfortable settings could suggest a need for closure or healing.
Modern Town Square and Work Environment: Your feelings of joy about being in a modern building suggest aspiration or ambition, while the confusion and getting lost may indicate uncertainty about your career path or future endeavors. This duality can reflect your current attitudes toward success and fulfillment.
Overall, your recurring dream seems to encapsulate themes of exploration, identity, ambition, and unresolved emotions from relationships and past experiences. It may serve as a space for your subconscious to process changes in your life, seek understanding of your family connections, or navigate personal aspirations. To further integrate insights from these dreams into your waking life, consider journaling your feelings upon waking or reflecting on the aspects of your life that correspond to the themes in your dreams.
